Finding the Perfect Gift hr

When trying to find the perfect gift, you have to ask yourself a few questions.  What is the occasion?  What’s his/her age, personality, lifestyle, occupation, and interests?  Once you’ve answered those questions, now how will you find that perfect gift within your budget?  For some, answering these questions are just exhausting enough and will still have to shop for the gift itself.  At this point, gift giving may even seem more like an obligation rather than a celebration.

The Bess Impression wants to make gift giving a fun, creative, and easy experience for you.  Our custom gift baskets have been popular, because it has a bit of everything to compliment each gift recipient’s interests, lifestyle, personality, and favorites.  If you are having difficultly finding the perfect gift for someone, give us a call or send an email.  We will be happy to give you suggestions and be your personal gift shopper.  Delivery in the Honolulu area is always included with any gift basket or gift concierge services.

Dream Big hr

May 20th is Be a Millionaire Day, so DREAM BIG!  I saw this celebration in a marketing calendar and found it to be most inspiring and motivating.  It made me think of the message my husband wrote to me in my birthday card…”Happy Birthday, Bessie.  Pretty soon the business will open.  You will own your own business at 30 years old!  I am happy that you will be able to do something you like to do and let me retire when you make enough money.  We’ll be young, rich, and free.”  Starting The Bess Impression took careful planning and research.  Being self-employed is great, but it’s not always easy.  It definitely helps to have a supportive and driven husband to help me along the way.

Handwritten Cards hr

How often do you receive a handwritten card in the mail these days?  Probably not often, but don’t you feel special when you do find the envelope hand addressed to you?   Sure, it costs more for postage stamps, and email and texting is a lot more convenient.  It is a lot easier to sit in front of the computer and type 100 wpm while the memory is still fresh in your mind.  In certain occasions, a personal phone call would be appropriate too, but the extra effort you put forth in a handwritten card will always be remembered.  If  you want to make a lasting impression, take out a pen and start writing on your personalized stationary.

…and just so you know, any gifts or baskets purchased from The Bess Impression will always have a handwritten card included.

First Day of Business hr

First day, first blog entry… What an exciting feeling this is, and I share this moment with the people who helped me get my business started.  Dean Yamamoto of Yamamoto & Settle LLLC made sure our business was formed and organized properly.  Lew Harrington of Love Story Weddings took the pictures that are on our website.   Michael Adderley, Chris Black, and Marcos Nobre of Top Level Communications were our logo and web design consultants.  Thank you all for your hard work, talent, and for exceeding my expectations.  I feel fortunate to have been able to work with such great friends.
